Parish Records

People are naturally interested in seeking information relating to their families from
past generations. As Churches we are required to maintain current records of Births Deaths and Marriages. Once the registers are complete they are passed to the Durham Records Office for safe keeping. They hold all Baptisms Marriages and Death Registers dating from 1754 to 1992 and any registers from then that have been filled.

To view the full records you will need the reference number that is quoted next to the individual book of records (e.g. EP/Pen2).  You will need to make an appointment to actually view them. You can contact Durham Records Office online or phone 01913833474.
